NOMINATIONS FOR 2012 - 2013
We will be holding our
nominations meeting at our dinner meeting on February 28th. At
this time, we will be accepting nominations from the floor for any
position available on the Board and we will also be electing one new
member to the Membership Committee. This member will not be a
Board member.
All members will be contacted by the committee
and asked if they would like to run for an office. At the
meeting you can also place your name on the ballot. If in the
interim between the nomination meeting an the election meeting any
nominee is unable for any reason to serve in the office to which
he/she was nominated and for which office there was no other nominee,
the nominating committee shall submit, at the election meeting, names
of additional nominees for that office.

PLANTING ONE MILLION TREES
The
Lions International President, Wing-Kun Tam has set a goal
internationally of planting one million trees around the world this
year in caring for our environment. The metaphor of the Tree is
like our club. Our Lion's District Governor David McCullough has
given a Redwood Tree to the Chowchilla Lioness Lions Club to plant,
nourish, water and care for it, so it will grow. The Chowchilla
Lioness Lions Club has extended this to our Community and its
Citizens. We have planted this tree with the help of the City of
Chowchilla at the Sports and Leisure Park at 15th St and Ventura Ave,
to encourage, help and support so that we can all grow. As the
Tree grows, it branches out and becomes stronger. As our
community grows, it also becomes stronger.
We ask
you to join us and watch "our" tree grow and enjoy.
